Annika Schlach was born in Stuttgart and studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin with Prof. Renate Faltin. From 2013 to 2015, she was a member of the Liz Mohn culture and music Foundation sponsored the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper unter den Linden. Since the 2015/16 season, she has been a member of the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and has already sang a wide range of roles there. This is how she interpreted, among others. the Prince Orlovsky in die Fledermaus, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Olga in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Dorabella in Mozart's "Così fan tutte" and Maddalena in Verdi's "Rigoletto". She also expanded her Repertoire with various Wagner roles such as Flosshilde in "Das Rheingold" and "Götterdämmerung", Siegrune in "Die Walküre" and Adriano in "Rienzi". Recent guest engagements led Annika simply to the Bavarian State Opera, the Opéra national de Paris and Semperoper. In the season 2019/20 at the Deutsche Oper Berlin Rollendebüts as Mary in "Der fliegende Holländer", Fenena in "Nabucco" and Fricka (in "Das Rheingold") in Stefan Herheim's new "Der Ring des Nibelungen". Their Sesto debut in 2019/20 in "La Clemenza di Tito"will take place on reloading the Bergen Nasjonale Opera after a concert singer Artie/" Peter Grimes " at the Bergen International Festival 2017. in addition to the opera stage, they will lead Future concert engagements to Klagenfurt, the Elbphilharmonie and to Brussels.
