Brian Mulligan, an accomplished American opera baritone, has graced the stages of renowned opera houses and concert halls globally.

Baritone Brian Mulligan is known for his performances of classical works, Wagner, Strauss, and 20th-21st century operas. He has performed at leading opera houses in Europe and North America with top orchestras and conductors.

In 2024/25, Mulligan stars as The Dutchman with Jaap van Zweden at the Concertgebouw, returns as Don Pizarro in Chicago's Fidelio, debuts as the Wanderer in Siegfried with the Hangzhou Philharmonic, and as Alberich in the Paris National Opera's The Gold of the Rhine. He also performs Jokanaan in Salome in Naples, conducts Dan Ettinger, debuts with the Luxembourg Philharmonic in The Dutchman, and performs Courvenal in Tristan und Isolde with the Philadelphia Orchestra. The season concludes with his return as The Dutchman with the Taiwan Philharmonic.

Recent highlights include his debut as Telramund in Lohengrin at the San Francisco Opera, Baraka in A Woman Without a Shadow in Toulouse, and Wotan in The Dutchman at Turin's Teatro Reggio. He has also performed Amfortas in Parsifale in Paris, Yohanan in Amsterdam's Salome, Madriki in San Francisco's Arabella, Kurwenal in Tristan und Isolde in Naples and Madrid, Wotan in Bregenz's Reinhold, Bulstrode in Vienna's Peter Grimes, Creon at Salzburg, and Vestnik and Faninal at the Met. He sang in Britten's War Requiem with the San Francisco Symphony.
