“The Great Gatsby” is a dramatic, jazz-infused ballet that brings F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel to life through expressive choreography, glamorous 1920s style, and a story of love, desire, and the illusions that lead to tragedy.

Synopsis

Act I
Nick Carraway arrives in West Egg and becomes a neighbor to the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby, whose mansion hosts dazzling parties filled with music, dancers, and glittering guests. Despite the constant festivities, Gatsby remains distant and focused on a singular dream.
Nick visits his cousin Daisy Buchanan and her husband Tom, sensing tension beneath their elegant lifestyle. Gatsby secretly asks Nick for help in arranging a meeting with Daisy — the woman he once loved and has spent years trying to win back.
When Gatsby and Daisy finally reunite, their joy reignites, and a romance begins to blossom. Yet the world around them bristles with jealousy, secrets, and unspoken truths.

Act II
Gatsby and Daisy’s relationship deepens, but their happiness is fragile. Tom grows increasingly suspicious and confrontational, while Daisy struggles between her past with Gatsby and her obligations to her current life.
During a heated confrontation in New York, Gatsby’s carefully built dream begins to crumble. Daisy, emotional and overwhelmed, accidentally strikes Tom’s mistress, Myrtle Wilson, with Gatsby’s car.
In the aftermath, blame, grief, and confusion spiral out of control. Myrtle’s husband, George Wilson, consumed by sorrow and misled by Tom, seeks revenge and kills Gatsby before taking his own life.
Nick, devastated by the tragedy, reflects on the illusions, desires, and hollow promises that shaped the world around Gatsby. As the lights fade, the dream dissolves, leaving only the echo of a man who believed he could recreate the past.
