Programme
Overview

With Elisabeth Rehm, the Rehm family & friends

When it's cold and dark outside, you prefer to spend the cozy hours inside in the warm - and preferably with family, good friends and, of course, music. The BR presenter Elisabeth Rehm also does this and celebrates the “Old Bavarian Advent” with her family and the audience a few days before Christmas Eve in the festively illuminated All Saints Court Church.

The Rehm family from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, one of the best-known and most successful real folk music groups in German-speaking countries for decades, invites you to a musical introduction to Christmas 2018. Look forward to traditional folk music and atmospheric singing that tell of the "staden time", the Christmas miracle and the most beautiful festival of the year!

Venue Info

Munich Residenz - Munich
Location   Residenzstraße 1

The Munich Residenz in central Munich is the former royal palace of the Wittelsbach monarchs of Bavaria. The Residenz is the largest city palace in Germany and is today open to visitors for its architecture, room decorations, and displays from the former royal collections.

The complex of buildings contains ten courtyards and displays 130 rooms. The three main parts are the Königsbau (near the Max-Joseph-Platz), the Alte Residenz (Old Residenz; towards the Residenzstraße) and the Festsaalbau (towards the Hofgarten). A wing of the Festsaalbau contains the Cuvilliés Theatre since the reconstruction of the Residenz after World War II. It also houses the Herkulessaal (Hercules Hall), the primary concert venue for the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. The Byzantine Court Church of All Saints (Allerheiligen-Hofkirche) at the east side is facing the Marstall, the building for the former Court Riding School and the royal stables.

Numerous cultural events take place throughout the year in the rooms and courtyards of the Munich Residence. The varied offer ranges from concerts and exhibitions to open-air events and residence weeks.
