Overview

Summer Proms in the Brunnenhof

The opulent “Sweet Soul Summer Night” takes you on a fast-paced and thrilling musical journey through 50 years of soul history: First-class singers follow in the footsteps of soul legends such as James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and Stevie Wonder. A ten-piece band with a five-part brass section, a grooving rhythm section, and a real Hammond organ will provide the perfect old-school sound - TV presenter, actor, singer, and entertainer Ron Williams will lead the evening.

With the hits "I Feel Good", "Respect", "Only You", "Papa Was A Rolling Stone", "A Change Is Gonna Come", "Nutbush City Limits", "Simply The Best" and many more

Venue Info

Munich Residenz - Munich
Location   Residenzstraße 1

The Munich Residenz in central Munich is the former royal palace of the Wittelsbach monarchs of Bavaria. The Residenz is the largest city palace in Germany and is today open to visitors for its architecture, room decorations, and displays from the former royal collections.

The complex of buildings contains ten courtyards and displays 130 rooms. The three main parts are the Königsbau (near the Max-Joseph-Platz), the Alte Residenz (Old Residenz; towards the Residenzstraße) and the Festsaalbau (towards the Hofgarten). A wing of the Festsaalbau contains the Cuvilliés Theatre since the reconstruction of the Residenz after World War II. It also houses the Herkulessaal (Hercules Hall), the primary concert venue for the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. The Byzantine Court Church of All Saints (Allerheiligen-Hofkirche) at the east side is facing the Marstall, the building for the former Court Riding School and the royal stables.

Numerous cultural events take place throughout the year in the rooms and courtyards of the Munich Residence. The varied offer ranges from concerts and exhibitions to open-air events and residence weeks.
