Programme
Overview
Join pianist Paul Lewis on a captivating journey linking Mozart’s crystalline elegance with Weber’s youthful exuberance and Chopin’s poetic depth. Discover the timeless conversation between three masters in one unforgettable recital.Pianist Paul Lewis invites audiences into a luminous musical dialogue that traces a lineage from Mozart’s flawless clarity through Weber’s impassioned creativity to Chopin’s poetic intimacy. Opening with Mozart’s elegantly balanced sonatas, he then explores Weber’s dramatic textures—echoes of a composer once celebrated as a ‘second Mozart’—before closing with Chopin’s deeply expressive nocturnes and scherzos, works suffused with his devotion to Mozartian principles. Each piece illuminates the others, unfolding like an intergenerational conversation at the keyboard. In the hall’s intimate acoustics, Lewis’s refined touch and insightful interpretations promise an evening of profound connection and transcendent beauty.
