Look forward to Alphaville, the largest German synth-pop export and creator of the legendary anthems "Forever Young", "Big in Japan" and "Sounds like a Melody".
Alphaville is the biggest German synth pop export and they look back on 40 years of band history. They have made themselves immortal with the legendary 80s anthems "Forever Young", "Big in Japan" and "Sounds like a Melody". On the occasion of their anniversary, they dare to take a new step and let their greatest hits shine in symphonic splendor!
On their new album "Eternally Yours" (2022) the greatest hits were rearranged and recorded with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg. It is a symbiosis between Marian Gold's unique vocal abilities, the fantastic Alphaville sound and the majestically powerful multifaceted nature of the large symphony orchestra. Marian Gold and his arrangers Max Knoth and Christian Lohr succeed in providing the musical content of the songs with the appropriate sound content. "Eternally Yours sounds to me like it was actually the first Alphaville album - only it wasn't released forty years ago. We didn't have an orchestra at hand at the time," explains lead singer Marian Gold: "All 23 pieces have become clearer through the editing, they are exposed, unleashed, liberated. Her true nature came to the fore.” Look forward to this special experience, because this evening will be a journey to happy memories of great times and at the same time you can look forward to completely new impressions when the synth heroes of the 80s meet at the princely Present the Schlossbühne with full philharmonic force!
